INCLINE VILLAGE, NEV. (PRWEB) MAY 22, 2019
When Bryon and Tania McLendon met, he was managing a health club in Southern California, and she was studying Public Relations and Advertising at California State University Fullerton - an active member of their track team.
This couple, married 21 years, doesn’t have children; they have a business – Nutrishop. Their baby is now almost 16 years old and nearly 200 stores strong. Their customer-centered, retail nutrition franchise features a business model focused on owner-operated stores where folks can blend their passion for fitness and nutrition with work-family balance.
You would not expect the owners of one of the most successful Nutrition store franchises in the USA to reside in Incline Village, Nevada. Or maybe you would, considering this dynamic duo share a mutual passion for outdoor activities – and Boxers (dogs that is). When asked about their successful business and love partnership, they commented:
“Many store owners ask us about that. Simply put, we don’t just love each other, we really LIKE each other. It’s one thing to be in love with one other. It’s another to be in love with what you’re CREATING together. It takes you to the next level. It makes you WANT to make things work.”
The McLendons opened their first retail nutrition store in 1997 where Bryon worked tirelessly day and night with a laser-focused approach. Their one nutrition store quickly grew to five locations in less than 2 years charting tremendous successes. He was determined to build something special. With that, they opened their first Nutrishop store in 2003. Ten years later, Tania came on board full time, bringing her expertise into play.
During their adventure, Bryon and Tania have helped many other couples successfully blend their passion for fitness and nutrition with work-family balance. This includes Scott and Melissa Radford, store owners in Fitchburg, MA. Scott, an active fitness and supplement buff with a lifelong dream of owning his own store, had been in law enforcement and was looking for a career change. In Nutrishop he found a unique business model unlike the majority of other retail nutrition stores operating today:
“The supportive, family-type environment Nutrishop has created for store owners is second to none. Being the first Nutrishop store in Fitchburg we were a little worried at first, but with hard work, incredible products, personalized analytic tools, and putting customers first, we have seen continuous growth in sales. Nutrishop never fails to amaze us – be it corporate management or fellow store owners. They really have our backs. They treat us like family.'
The couple who plays together really can go the distance – especially with the continuous support of others who have struck the “gold medal” balance. Nutrishop aspires to reach 300 stores in the next 5 years and is accepting new store applications at https://www.nutrishopusa.com/open-nutrishop/application.
